Requs AI Predict -Software FMEA

Intelligent software FMEA

  • Based on the Common Defect Enumeration at the DoD R&M CoP website which MRS authored. The CDE is a listing of the root causes for known software failures in the last 60 years.
  • You answer questions, the tool generates software FMEA. It does the tedious work so you can focus on analyzing the effects.
  • Predict the failure modes with Requs AI Predict SFMEA and the failures rates with Requs AI Predict. One survey does both predictions.

The Requs Top-level Software FMEA Assessment provides for intelligent software FMEA assessment.  Failure Modes Effects Analysis can be time-consuming for both hardware and software.  This intelligent software completes the software FMEA  with relatively little effort.

The user enters in information about the software and its operational profile.   The software outputs the failure modes, effects, likelihood, and severity.  The FMEA assessment is a top-level assessment based on the common defects since 1962 which are documented on the the DAU R&M Community of Practice website The Requs software determines which of the known software failure modes are applicable and the likelihood based on the type of software, the development practices, and the industry.  The FMEA assessment includes the failure modes, root causes, effects, likelihood, severity, and recommended controls.  The software FMEA assessment worksheets and reports are tailor-made.

Mission Ready Software is the only company that has been tracking software failure modes and analyzing them for failure mode and root cause.  We have hundreds of thousands of failure events categorized by failure mode and root cause by application type and industry. This data is why our tool can intelligently produce a software Failure Modes Effects Analysis assessment

Software failure mode effects analysis is most effective when conducted before the software is finished.  By reducing the calendar time and effect required to complete the FMEA assessment, you can also improve the effectiveness while reducing cost.
